The best poster award to Katarína Karľová
The member of our Department Katarína Karľová was awarded on International Conference on Statistical Physics (SigmaPhi2023, 10th-14th July 2023, Chania, Greece) for The best poster presentation with the title: Frustrated magnetism of a quantum mixed spin-(1, 1/2) Heisenberg octahedral chain from a statistical-mechanical monomer-dimer model. Laureátmi Nobelovej ceny za fyziku v roku 2019 sa stali astrofyzici
Tohtoročnú Nobelovu cenu za fyziku získali kanadsko-americký fyzik James Peebles a dvojica švajčiarskych vedcov Michel Mayor a Didier Queloz. J. Peebles sa venuje kozmológii, teda vede o štruktúre a evolúcii vesmíru, švajčiarski vedci boli ocenení za objav prvej exoplanéty, ktorá obieha okolo hviezdy podobnej nášmu Slnku.
